This article refers to events, personae, items and activities that are involved in the Void Storms World Event, which went live with GU46 and is expected to run until the next expansion launches.

The Void Storms World Event is one part of the summer-long series of events referred to as the Living Legacy World Event. 'Gathering Tempest is Part 1. It went live with Game Update 46 on June 17th, 2008, and will end when Game Update 47 goes live in late July.

A number of mysterious and dark storms have erupted all across Norrath. Members of Freeport's Academy of Arcane Science and Qeynos' Concordium have been sent across all the lands to investigate these storms. If you would like to lend them a hand and learn more about the cause of these storms be sure to find an Academy Apprentice or Concordium Pupil Adept and let them know!^[1]

A list of tempest storm locations and quest starting NPC's can be found here. Be warned, the Void storms will zap you when you get close, knocking you back and doing a few focus damage!

Good Version See a Concordium Pupil Adept in various locations around Norrath to start this event. Kelethin residents can visit a Concordium Teleportation Scholar next to the Kelethin Bank to get ported to the North Qeynos Gate in Antonica. (There is another a Concordium Teleportation Scholar by the North Qeynos gates for your return trip.) Storms of Mystery Void Storms Continue (repeatable)

Evil Version See an Arcane Science apprentice in various locations around Norrath to start this event. Gorowyn residents can visit an Arcane Science Teleportation Scholar to get ported to the North Freeport Gate in The Commonlands. (There is another Arcane Science Teleportation Scholar by the North Freeport gates for your return trip.) There is no teleporter for Neriak residents. Tempests of Mystery Void Tempests Continue (repeatable)

Rewards

Besides XP and a little cash, the repeatable quests reward notes which may be redeemed for rewards.

• Good players take your Concordium Note of Appreciation to Mage Fulcrum Gearshift at the Concordium Tower in South Qeynos (red teleporter).
• Evil players take your Academy of Arcane Science's Note of Service to Scientist Dally Scrumplecog at the upper floor of the Academy of Arcane Science in North Freeport.
• The rewards are mainly cool-looking furniture or gear intended for your appearance slots, but there are a few decent, usable weapons and some fun thrown in!
